Angelus Memorial Park is located on 35 acres of gently rolling hills in South Anchorage, near the Old Seward Highway and O’Malley Road. The park is landscaped with living memorials and is open every day, year-round. The Chugach Mountain Range is our view directly to the East. On clear days, the magnificent Denali, Foraker, and Hunter mountains are visible from most points in the Park. Angelus is Alaska’s first cemetery to establish a perpetual care fund for the endowment of the parks and is a non-profit corporation that is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, elected by you, the members. At the behest of the State, we took over Valley Memorial Park near the Butte in 1983. Our parks are non-denominational so families of all faith and background are welcome to choose plots in any of our gardens.
